This 1945 Technicolor film was shown to Navy veterans in the aftermath of WWII. Intended to refocus the men who had lived through such horror, and who had trained to live by the sword, the film attempts to remind the viewer of the goals achieved by the conflict. This film may owe its existence to a very real fear that returning veterans would not be able to re-integrate into society; but such worries proved groundless. James Vincent Forrestal, the last Cabinet-level United States Secretary of the Navy and the first United States Secretary of Defense, makes a brief statement at the end of the film and concludes: "You have completed your mission... The readjustments may be difficult for some of you...but I am confident that you will adjust yourselves to the ways of peace."

Subject: Nice but
Its a shame to see defaced (and the entire collection) with the big black ID time code block.

Basically using Archive as their own commercial promotion site.

Instead of just watermarking and saying higher quality is available from them.

Instead they have made me not even want to even investigate that because of their totally not in the spirit o this place crassness.

Especially as these are films they don't actually own just PD collected.
